Yes. Of course. Value is arbitrary and in the eye of the buyer. People complain if gas costs $4 a gallon to propel them faster than humanly possible in a climate controlled wonder machine- but Star bucks espresso is $320.00 a gallon. A mid level perfume is almost $4,000 a gallon. Fancy bottled water can be $20 a gallon. Many skin products and beauty creams are in the range of $1000-4000 a gallon and common name brand body wash tends to be about $30-50 a gallon. What you get, what you pay, and wether you’re happy about it just depend on your perspective.

Anyone who complains about the price of the stand doesn't understand what it's for, or the way the industry works. It's made for super high-end users, to hold monitors that are 36 inches and worth ~$5,000 to $17,000, and is intended to easily rotate into every imaginable position. It's a piece of specialized equipment, in an industry where specialized equipment is expensive, where a "simple" camera handle can cost $400.

Lol. Hopefully you’ll have more luck than me. I tried to explain this when the stand first came out but I suppose not many people on here are used to dealing with reference monitors in an enterprise setting. I was downvoted to all get out- but the truth doesn’t care about popularity. So well said and best of luck.
