The journalists all wanted an exclusive interview with him, the guy that came forth about the NSA eavesdropping on US citizens. They poked around and found that he had bought a ticket for that flight, but like anyone in his situation would do, he did it just to throw people off who might be looking for him.
It's funny because they were stuck on a long flight for nothing. Oh, and because they thought they could find him so easily, when our govt is having a hard time with that, or so they say.
Btw, is it just me that think the govt is just saying they don't know where he is, so he'll relax and stay in one spot, thus making their jobs easier?

Doesn't really make their job easier they could know where he is but not be able to legally go to that country And take him
