"Rhinella marina" - the big honking bonk. The world's largest toad species. Native to Central and South America, they were introduced to Australia and some parts of Oceania in hopes of controlling pests such as the cane beetle. They quickly became an invasive species, due to their voracious appetite and rapid breeding.

Australia introduced sugar canes.
With them came cane beetles, destroying the crops.
Then they introduced those toads.
Which became a pest themselves.
Then, over a course of only 75 years, the red-bellied black snake developed a resistance against the toads toxins.
And now there are cities near sugar cane fields which have to deal with snake infestations because the toads are an easy prey for them.
Image you're enjoying your morning worms, living your best life and suddenly some big smooth-skin fucker just picks you up and starts flashing you with some weird flat brick.
