My husband was raised with his grandfather who is a southern Baptist preacher and was a higher than thou Bible thumper. So my husband was raised to think the whole LGBTQA community was a sin and was raised to think of them as garbage.
I got with him and showed him they are not as his grandfather thinks. I showed them they are just people trying to live thier life and be happy.
It took some time but he now thinks of them as every day people and he even has a few friends who are gay and lesbian.
And if one day our daughter says she likes girls or wants to be a boy I know he will hug her and say he loves her no matter what.
Sometimes it takes people the right person to show them the way.
Don't hate love.
Show a hater love and they will have a hard time ignoring it.
