I work as a barista and we have a tip jar on the counter that always makes a clinking sound when people drop coins in and now I automatically yell "thank you" whenever I hear that sound.

I knew I was picking up too many serving shifts when I was walking up to a crowded, outdoor bar and, as I went around the corner to enter the bar, I yelled CORNER.

There is one woman in particular who I often find myself saying "Maybe next time try saying [insert less rude way of saying the same thing]" it's an active effort not to say this when people are rude around me
