I work as a barista and we have a tip jar on the counter that always makes a clinking sound when people drop coins in and now I automatically yell "thank you" whenever I hear that sound.

I knew I was picking up too many serving shifts when I was walking up to a crowded, outdoor bar and, as I went around the corner to enter the bar, I yelled CORNER.

I'm so used to being the only one that answers the phone at work that I almost picked up the phone at the insurance company last time I went there. After a very awkward hand-clash my brain reminded me that I wasn't at work that instance

I work with people with disabilities. And part of my job is helping people make better social interactions. There is one woman in particular who I often find myself saying "Maybe next time try saying [insert less rude way of saying the same thing]" it's an active effort not to say this when people are rude around me
