Michelangelo was only 24 years old when he completed the Pietà Sculpture

as suprising as it is, this took only a year to create, maybe 2

I wanted to imply that people at this time usually started their appranticeship in the age of 12. (I just read he was 13 to start painting Frescos, 14, when he started sculpting) So when he did this masterpiece, which it definetly is, he already had almost half of his life of experience in arts. This puts the work and his age in a different relation than comparing it with todays standards.
