Don't do this. All the teacher has to do is ctrl + a and highlight the entire essay. You're cleverly colored white text is now completely visible. Just do the work and reword a few sentences.

Also spellcheck would ruin it and you could use the time it would take to write random existing words to beef up your text.

if the paper gets to the point and covers the topic, word count don't mean squat.

Yes and no. Depends on the assignment and the teacher. If I say to write a 700 word essay on a certain topic then it needs to be 700 words minimum. But if I say to write an essay on this topic and it should be 700 words and you write an outstanding essay then I'll play by ear. It sounds like semantics but it depends on the purpose of having your students write the essay.

i never had a teacher complain about word count, but keep in mind, i went to school with hand written essays, minimum word count was given, i never bothered to check, as long as the assignment was complete, it got graded.
