Many high end Italian sports cars have the engine in the back. Something to do with increased horsepower when the rear wheels don’t need a drive shaft.
There's lots of reasons for it.
Better weight distribution, less total weight (no long driveshaft), the cool factor.
Also, not just Italians...

Technically the single motor Tesla's also are "MR" layout (mid-engine, rear drive)
