Yes, if you had a lot of money a hundred years ago you could think "I have a lot of money" while you where dying from six different diseases and scurvy at the ripe old age of 43.

If I had a lot of money what am I doing putting myself in a position where I'd get scurvy? I'd be living in my own "palace".
