Generally speaking sure anime have more attractive characters but I find their movement really stiff and awkward... with few exceptions of course. Although “poorly drawn/ animated” (ugly in a nicer way) American animations have smoother movements. But that’s just my opinion... I watch both as long as it helps me run away from all my responsibilities

Speak for yourself, Mucha Lucha's movement animation was really awkwars but, in general it was a perfect cartoon

Anime TENDS to use a much more detailed approach for characters and costumes- but use less frames for actual animation and use many “still” shots where any movement is the frame or use of effects and shading. American animation (other than “hanabarbara” style and newer “nick” style) usually has less detail in the designs but more actual animation. Anime traditionally uses exaggerated character features and style whereas American animation tends to strive for more “realistic” character features and anatomy and less artistic style in humans.

Neither is photorealistic usually- but You can see from the 2 stills shown- you’re far more likely to meet a woman in rap life who looks like that American Morgana than the Japanese one. In fact- if you look very carefully, the Japanese Morgana- if translated directly to reality, wouldn’t look human at all.

I’m not saying one is “better” than the other- objectively the lower still frame is a “better” art work. But it just shows the contrast between the two styles and their respective strengths and weaknesses. If you watch the movements of traditional American style animation- they tend to be more fluid and closer to what a real human might look like. However- there is an “uncanny valley” effect which more stylized characters tend to avoid triggering because they aren’t easily confused with humans.
