It was the opposite for me, I was borderline obese on BMI measures so I cut down on caloric intake and made it a gradual loss of weight and people were telling me that I should eat something for once and that I was just skin and bone (when I was still like 24 BMI made of fat). People were quick to call me anorexic for trying to not be overweight, even though I was healthy with my intake and didn’t do any harm. Out of my entire 210 —> 150 pound weight transformation, only one person made a positive comment about it ever. At least I know that I’m healthier.
