It's not Down syndrome. It's inbreeding done by a breeder who was trying to make as much money as possible. The tiger lived his life out in a rescue center.
Why would you dislike his comment, animals can have down syndrom to. I have a cat who is mentally disabled. Just cause some people think it cant occur in animals doesnt mean it cant. Some of us have the extra chromosome 21 in our cells and you dont know maybe if he was inbred he could have been born with Down Syndrome cause he could have be born with the extra chromosome 21.
Like matt said, it's not Down Syndrome. Most white tigers are born like this because the white recessive gene is so rare in the wild that they must be repeatedly inbred to keep the offspring white, causing many deformations. Only the ones that come out normal (the minority of them) are shown in zoos and circuses.
You had to name him Kenny didn't you?
You couldn't name him some cool Asian name...
Imagine the tours for the Kids...
"Let's meet the Tigers shall we kids?"
"Yaaaayyyy!"
"Ok, this one is called Aakar, he has the honour of being the oldest tiger here"
"Rooaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwlll"
"ooh, don't get too close kids, he's a fearsome one huh?
"This beautiful boy is called Dhimant, which means 'wise, or learned'
"This is....um, Kenny....he's...he's new..."
"Say Hi to the kids Kenny!"
"Moooo"
Ok, that made me laugh out loud.
Suddenly, I recall a Daniel Tosh joke about a retarded chimp. Makes one wonder just what comes after "killing machine" on the evolutionary scale...
This Post is Wrong ! You horrible Humans , What if it was a Child ? Can they count , Can they do the potato song ? I pray for him ! YOU GOD WILL DEAL WITH ! Thank you for Sharing this Beautiful Animal with me ...Mother Moon Walker
only animals similar to humans can have Downs such as apes and there are many cases documenting this. Abnormalities in other a animals cannot be classified as having Downs but birth deformities.
He's Still Gorgeous and hopefully wherever he is he's being looked after properly and being given lots of stimuli to keep him on his toes and entertained as All Animals should be.
This is not funny! How can you all be so cruel. This is the result of inbreeding by money hungry humans and for this site and it's readers to make fun of this poor animal who is suffering is shameful. May God forgive you.
This is false and a mock to those with the syndrome. This tiger is what most white tigers look like since you get the white color through inbreeding. The ugly ones are usually killed off and the more normal ones are the ones you tend to see in zoos or media.
This is not Down Syndrome. That’s an Internet myth that has been ciruclating for a few years. Go to Snopes.com and read the real story. This tiger’s birth defects (physical only...mentally he was fine) is due to inbreeding.
That Matt guy shut seriously ok anywhoo this tiger is the cutest thing i have ever seen he may hhaves disability but oh my beejeezus I love Kenny who wouldn't. Well apparently not Matt…
FOR THE LAST FREAKING TIME HE DOES NOT HAVE DOWN SYNDROME IT IS JUST A PHYSICAL DEFORMATION YES HE IS FREAKING ADORABLE BUT IT'S NOT DOWN SYNDROME.GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.
PS : I think he looks adorable

Down syndrome occurs when an individual has a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21 in there cells.
