Per day? Is that an accurate number? God I hope not.

Google doesn't give confident predictions, but that's accurate to the lower end. The higher estimates I saw say about 42 MILLION a day, or 15.3 billion a year. The lower ones are 20.6 million a day or 7.5 billion a year.

Of course in the US the tree industry also replants the trees it cuts down because that's their source of income. Tree farms can be lucrative but they do require long term investments. Here's a little question and answer site: appalachianwood . org/forestry.htm
