Stupid thing to say. Even rabbits have been known to kill their own young, don't even start on the larger hunter species like lions. Wild horses (rare but it happens) have been known to fight to the death. Snakes eat other snakes. I could go on.

If they worded I WAY different I would be able to agree but yea that wasnt the brightest. Heck even "humans are the only species to create weapons to kill their species" would be more accurate like "humans are the only creatures to glue wire to make their mouth bones straighter" sounds better than "humans are the only ones that practise dental care" like I get the POINT of what they were maybe trying to convey but they conveyed it- well you know.
