Yeah what if he's just stuck down there with the rest of us? God's real punishment for hating on his humans was to put him in a pile of shitty ones.

Haha yeah. That goes pretty well with my personal take on The Plan — do good and you get to level up to the Kingdom, do bad and you'll just stay on Earth like it is now. The real punishment is missing out on heaven, and that will feel like fire and brimstone.
