Well that escalated and descalated quickly

It reminds me of two children's books from a French author, the Blue and the Red tales of the cat above the ground (there's a pun because cat above the ground also means playing tag). Anyways, he describes farm animals in a very human way and some of them like to come inside the house to play with the kids when the parents are not home.
