I feel like this could have gone very wrong. Some stranger in a trench coat handing out little cards to kids while seemingly having no treats to give out or of his own

Yea I don’t know what I’d do as a parent with that scenario. I mean cute idea but a bit creepy if you have small kids

This reminds me of the year my brother who is two years younger than me for Halloween took a ratty old piece of cardboard smeared it would like dirt and red paint to make it look bloody scratched into it with a black permanent marker the word stranger took a old piece of string and used it for the for like a collar part so that he can wear the sign. Then he bought a bag of peppermints and went to school and when everyone would ask him what's with the sign he would say hey little boy/girl would you like some candy? And then just hand them a peppermint. Lmfao he keeps saying that one day he's going to have the next version of it where he's got like a little stuffed dog and he's going to say want to pet my puppy?
