And this is the first time I've realized that without Misty or Ash around, Brock just looks like some normal dude wandering about minding his own business

Lol I mean Ash's vest and hat are very distinctive, as are misty's red suspenders, red hair side-pony, and yellow crop top. Brock doesn't really have anything distinctive about him outside of his hair (which isn't done here) and his closed eyes (which can't be pulled off all the time)

The clothes mark him as Brock as well tho. If we did remove the eyes and hair to make him “normal” it’s the same as saying remove Ash’s vest and hat and he’ll be “normal”

If I saw the ash cosplayer or misty cosplayer on their own I'd know exactly who they were. If I saw the Brock cosplayer on his own I'd think "excuse me, mind if I get by you?" And go on my way. His clothes aren't distinctive enough to make him stand out on his own.
