My handwriting is really bad it looks like a little kid wrote it. It is because of my dyslexia no matter what I do I can't improve it. At least it's eligible.
But every time I write my kid a note for school they call me to ask if I wrote the note. Every new school my kid goes to I have to explain to them that I have dyslexia and how it is messed up they are questioning my hand writing.
I do apologize but I just it makes me so mad. Bailey's apologize like oh I'm sorry I didn't know that you were so... slow. I swear to God. I'm just getting mad thinking about it.
Doing something 100,000 hours doesn’t make you an expert. Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice can make you worse. If you practice bad habits that’s what you’ll get good at- driving, martial arts, dancing, Weight lifting, sports, writing, even studying. The time you spend is an important factor but so is quality. Perfect practice makes perfect. If you practice doing something right you’ll get better- maybe never great- but you’ll be better than you were. If you just scribble on paper then you’ll get good at scribbling. Sometimes we don’t know the “right way” and that’s where teachers and coaches and programs etc. come in- to teach us how to get the most out of the time we spend practicing. A few hours with a good guide can beat 100’s spent fumbling in the dark.
