It’s a balance. You probably shouldn’t be with someone just because it is practical or because you need a babysitter to keep your sh%t together- but just being crazy in love while the world and your lives fall apart because you and a partner can’t manage to be responsible or practical together isn’t ideal either. A partner isn’t there to “fix” you or your problems. They are there to help and support you yes- but finding partners based on what you “need from them” is certainly not ideal.
