And that’s how you lose business. I’ve known some badass women with these tats, and who are you to get all up-ity about what someone deems meaningful to them and their experiences?

They don't really lose much business. Those are tiny tattoos, they don't bring you a lot of money and are boring to tattoo. I guess many tattoo artists are happy to concentrate more on creative artworks. My tattoo artist's business for example is so good that he only picks tattoos that interest and challenge him and take several sessions to complete.

Sure, some tattoo artists are established enough to not need these kind of cases. But, everyone starts off with a first tattoo, and most people start off with something simple or small. If you have a lady walk in and she wants the anchor to be her first tat, but then you give her this so she leaves. She could have come back for a hundred more unique ones, but instead she went to the shop down the street
