The only explanation I can think of is that the camera somehow picks up the image through the thin sheet but that when you have something like a flashlight it’s gonna be too bright to show the picture below

That...I have no explanation for. Maybe as bait? To see what the ghost baby does or to potentially slow ghost baby down so she can escape
