They say that it is like heaven. Thick and warm, smooth on the skin. The smell- divine. You enter and it envelops you like a hug all over. If you are smart- you will feel it’s pull and leave. But while you soak- should a single drop of that gravy touch your lips, you will meet the e same terrible fate as every soul before you for 14,000 years.

The first taste will be amazing... satisfying... the best gravy you’ve ever had. You will have no choice, no control. You will begin to crave it to your core. Shoveling and slurping it up- each handful will be no less amazing... but each will be less satisfying and you will need more, and more, and MORE. Out of control, unable to leave- no sense of time as minutes and days blur together. Just you and the gravy. Any unlucky enough to come upon your stupor... what is gravy without meat? Vegan, Buddhist, it doesn’t matter. You will consume them... the gravy will bubble and swirl and pull them to you as if it were an extension of your gluttonous inner urges.

And as you go, no matter how much gravy you consume you will become weaker, and weaker; and sink deeper, and deeper into the gravy. Your skin will grow oily and swollen, your body will balloon and grow tender, with each passing moment you will lose more and more of the basic cohesion until the gravy takes you all the way. It will pull you down into it, and in the churning deep you will be smashed upon yourself until you too become a part of the gravy- and you will welcome it.

In the end- your body and soul will be one with the gravy. You will never escape- no one escapes Gravy Jones’s locker.
