I've painted my bedroom turquoise blue with green and grey undertones so it almost looked like stonework... and then added a black-light. Back then, if I had realized I could put a filter on the light and create lines, I would have done that and painted it neon green. Neon green + royal purple = my favorite color combo ever.

I thought I'd gone blind for a moment. But, on that note: I used to go past a playground that was painted entirely shades of grey and black. To this day I have no idea why, but we fondly nicknamed it the Playground of Doom.
