Same thing; the MLB wins. It's not that rugby players aren't tough, they just aren't used to being hit in such a way. They're used to endurance fights in the trenches, like an O-line man. A MLB isn't, it's about hitting as fast and as hard as possible; they're basically people missiles. It's even more pronounced with DB's, but DB's usually don't have the size of MLB's.
you're kidding right? rugby players hit just as hard without padding, put that on them, they'll go harder and not care. also, they are both offensive and defensive, they don't switch out players cause they can multitask
No I'm not kidding. Again, the speed is the difference.
If they could do what a MLB could, the NFL would be poaching rugby players left and right, there's a reason they don't.

Depends. A bunch of O-line players? A bunch of QBs? A bunch of safeties? All would have different results. If we stick to DBs and MLBs, the rugby team gets wrecked. Von Miller alone would take out 4-5 of them.
Yes they can; and they can hit a lot harder without padding, as the padding gives them an extra sense of security; so without it they still think they are the Juggernaut and act like it.
so, having used the padding all their professional career, you think they can go up against players that are used to none and can and do hit just as hard? Like a boxer going into a bare knuckle fight.
