I'm obligated to add that a giraffe in Afrikaans is Kameelperd which is directly translated to camel horse.... leopard is a Luiperd which means lazy horse... chameleon is verkleurmannetjie which means little coloured in man... hippo is seekoi which means sea cow... a skunk is a stinkmuishond which means stinky mouse dog....
