even just talking strictly about biological sex saying there are "only two possibilities" is either 1. ignorant
or
2. disingenuous
there's an extreme number of other sex chromosome combinations that have been observed in humans.
i mean hell just with with Y chromosome there can be XYY and XYYY.
the amount of people with said combinations arent even known with any accuracy because there are so few noticeable differences between them and someone with XY that there is very rarely any reason to check since there is rarely any negative effects on the persons life and in some cases gives positives like more physical strength or height than average. its a mutation not any different than someone having red hair or green eyes and from an extremely pedantic view point you might call that evolution.

then youve got XXX and XXXX of which the former is basically unchanging and the later is often awful for the person.
ran out of space lol
Well gender and sex are two different things, sex is determined by whether or not you have at least 1 Y chromosome, and gender matches sex unless you consent to decide otherwise, then it can be whatever the hell you want. The sex of people with unusual amounts of sex chromosomes is not ambiguous (based on presence of Y). Also, you're right about taller than average height, but none of the disorders gives you more strength, in fact many list reduced muscle mass as a symptom.
Speaking of symptoms, while many people can go their whole life without being diagnosed, that doesn't mean there are "few noticeable differences" (except XXX), and many symptoms are untreatable so go unaddressed, are fertility issues late in life (except XXX/XYY), or more subtly harm you (increased autism, appearence issues, small/micro penis (if you have a Y), low/no sex drive, lower iq, other mental/image issues, etc)
