i remember when my middle school computation class teacher tried to teach us html but i don't think he could fit it all on our curriculum. after all this time i still wanna make a website that i can use like a blog.

If you are just looking to do some blogging I would recommend Medium or Steem. Both are quite easy on formatting and there’s no setup like Wordpress.
