I think you should feed the doggo before you tell him that bc he looks like hes ready to eat the kid out of desperation

The dog may already have been fed. Like humans, you have to feed them slowly. Too much food at once can cause medical problems. The dog is also likely neglected or abused and somewhat wary of humans. It may have given up and doesn't understand it's safe now.

Isn't it great how some people teach their children compassion instead of mindless fear? If only that were more common maybe these wouldn't be among the most horrifically abused breeds (with some of the euthanasia rates) in the world.
