Actually keeping one male with several females is fine (occurs like this in nature as well), and the substrate we use is coarse grained, normal sand and moist substrate so they have all the possibilities and we've never had problems. I mean their natural habitat would be steppes and desert landscapes, also they love to dig. They get along really well with each other and they have 4 caves in total so if they want, they could keep their distance, but they mostly choose to snuggle up together.
Their names are Leopold, Leonora and Katschonka.
ah see, thats a different scenario. most people dont factor in the male vs female thing, so as a general rule its best not to cohab bc people dont sex them. and yeah, coarse is fine ig was hard to see.
the only thing i would correct tho is the 'snuggling'. leos dont snuggle. theyre laying on top of one another to compete for warmth, the most dominant at the top. htt ps : / / reptilecraze. com / do- leopard -geckos- need- a- partner /
I've never seen them on top of each other, always really close right next to each other.
And they also do that during the day when they have the options of heat lamp spots.
And mostly I mean snuggling as in they all choose the same cave even though they have 4 different ones plus a cozy corner available.
