The ideal: reduce the rate at which global temperatures are rising by decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and maintain production of goods at a similar rate.

A huge fallacy here is that because ENVIRONMENTAL pollution like noise and crowding are down- that the ecosystem is repairing. But that isn’t necessarily true. People are driving less- but many planes are still flying to keep their claimed routes. People staying home effects energy usage. On the whole most sources agree it is down. Good right? Well... yes and no.

When eventually things relax or we figure out how things are going to work if they stay in this state long term- the blow to the economy and the change in energy use patterns and profits is having all sorts of effects on alternative energy sources that is hurting “green” energy now- and could stunt development or have lasting repercussions. There’s all sorts of stuff to consider and really- it’s not simply enough for people to stay home and everything will just “heal” itself. Habitats need reclaimed and blah blah blah. It’s a whole thing.
