Does this quote actually appear in a Milne story?

Probably not, I see loads of these where I'm pretty sure they weren't written by A. A. Milne. My friend had a wedding reading made up of "Winnie the Pooh quotes" and half of them were just random ones off the internet

It's just funny, most of the quotes on the internet are misattributed. Don't know why.

Because people can make up quotes for their own agenda and if they were said by a famous person or character it gives them a false credibility and other people then share them.

I don't usually share personal things on here, but I really really needed to read this today and I'm going to explain why so that OP can understand how grateful I am... I endured some extremely difficult things as a child due to the way my step mother treated me. I still have issues and psychological trauma that I am working through today, (as a 22 year old). This weekend my boyfriend and I went to visit my father, step mother and half siblings with the purpose of asking my fathers blessing for marriage. It is always extremely difficult for me to visit because when I am around her I feel like that same helpless 9 year old that I was way back when. The weekend went well on the surface, but I ended up having a panic attack at 3am and didn't sleep much because of memories flooding back. So I'm back home now and I'm feeling so drained and teary- but reading this quote helped soooooo much. Thank you.
