Some indigenous tribes eat bees, and I'm pretty sure I had some as well, in a mixed insect bag, roasted and very spicy, from an Indian or Pakistani Parlor on the Expo 2000. Kind of meh, it doesn't really matter if it's crickets or bees or whatever insect they dry-roast and cover in spices. Roasted chick peas taste pretty much the same, but apparently don't work to trigger vegans.
