Better in some ways, perhaps. In the end meth still tends to be more valuable than garbage, however.

Don't get me wrong, I love Canada. I think we have one of the most beautiful (if unforgiving) landscapes in the world. But pretending we're not a huge clusterfuck hellbent on driving ourselves into the ground right now is a lie.
And yet it is consistently ranked extremely high in all sorts of comparisons such as quality of life, transparency, freedom, democracy, safety, education, economic stability, standard of living, openness to immigration, human rights and many other metrics. It is considered one of the best countries in the world, by the world. So yeah, it's not perfect, it can certainly improve, but there aren't any places that can't and most have got a ways to go to just catch up, including our unfortunate neighbours. Sorry if I don't share your easy pessimistic dismissal of this country, which is much, much more than just a beautiful landscape.

Racism against First Nations folks is on the rise in Canada, so you've got that too.
I never said Canada was one of the worst countries in the world or some other bizarre take. Or that it is "just a beautiful landscape." I pointed out the landscape because that has always - and will always - be one of my favourite aspects of this wild country.

And believe me my pessimism was goddamn hard-earned. If you'd asked me 5 or even 4 years ago I probably would have hardly raised a complaint. And I still think Canada is a decent place to live. But I also am not going to glorify its problems and idiocy because other places might be doing it worse.
Canada shut down their chapter of the hell's angels because they were to violent. don't believe all you read on the internet about how wonderful Canada is every place has its good and its bad.
sorry i worded that wrong they shut down a chapter not all the chapters. there's like 50 chapters in Canada last i heard. they closed down one specific chapter because of excessive violence and i think it ended up a mass killing or some thing.

Met a guy in the "white boy possé" at one point. I'm pretty sure no one took that group seriously (how could you with that sort of a name) but he still ended up with his knuckles smashed in, so what do I know
