Nice try. We are only our kids' biggest influence up to school age as a maximum. I read all the time, from proper books usually. I read to myself and I have always read daily to my kid. He is a screen addict, has never voluntarily read in his life.

Technically, he's still reading. Just with a more versatile means than a book.

Thanks, but it's minimal, sadly. I'm so frustrated :-( And sad for him! He won't have that wonderful experience of falling into a book and living the words, feeling the emotions of those ephemeral characters.
