This one appears to have confidence and humor- two overall good traits in a bartender. I’d sit them down and hear them out. One of the most important things to look for in any sort of customer facing “nightlife” employee is.. intangible. You need a person who natively deescalates things, settles bad situations down- and who isn’t... punchable. Some people- their look of attitude or way they talk or something... makes people want to punch them. With a smart ass that is super important. The difference between two people saying the same exact quip and one defusing things or having it slide and one starting an incident is quite often just... if they are a “punchable” person.
