Ok story time
So this is about GameStop and steam.
My husband sold his ps4 and games for 2 steam cards and cash.
Fucking dumb ass clerk gave him one card not activated. It was a different card than the one on our recite.
So he is at work and he suffers from anxiety so I handle it for him.
I first tell the store what happen. They say bring in recite and card and they will fix it. He takes his whole lunch to do that and they say they can’t do anything. Now if that card was 10 bucks we would just say shit we lost 10 bucks but it was 100 dollars. So I was pissed.
I call the store up and ask for the manger again. I ask what happen he says we would have to ship the card away and MAYBE they will give us a refund. I say my husband wanted to get a game that was on sale and it ends tonight is there anything we can do he is like nope. We looked for the other card but it isn’t here. I say well than we believe the cashier who checked us out stole it. Now this whole time I am kind and friendly
I assure him I know it was t him personally and that I just want this solved. He is giving me the same respect.
He says there is nothing we can do and we can form a complaint with their help line.
I say I didn’t want to do this but I need to speak with your District manger. He says he only has an email and maybe they mail you back.
I say than I will call the other stores in the area.
He changed his tone saying he will look further into finding the card and asked for the info off the recite. I asked my husband for it and while he did that I called a different store.
I explained what was happening and asked for the number they said I can’t give it but I will call Michelle and tell her of the problem.
I call first store back and give them the info my husband gave me. I say by the way just want to let you know I spoke with other store and they called Michelle for me and she will be contacting me or you.
Minute I said her name he was like OH SHIT! lol
Just a reminder I never yelled I was kind I even cracked jokes. I never cussed I just made them know how desperate I was to get it solved.
The guy started to try to return the card. On the recite it gave only part the card info. Some of it was missing. So he was guessing the missing numbers. With my help he actually guessed the right numbers.
He returned the card and gave us a new card.
The other store called me and asked about did the first store help me I said yes and he thanked me for keeping a leveled head and let them help me.
I thanked all them and even sent in a big compliment about them.
Now here is one bit I left out lol the whole time I kept calling steam stem lol my kid kept rolling her eyes saying ITS STEAM MOM!!
I just yelled back at her I AM DYSLEXIC SHUT UP!!!
