Lol. True. But not the actors fault- the costume work and post effects just weren’t what they are today.

I think he portrayed it well, the sets were amazing, Kiefer Sutherland was offered the role of Robin, but turned it down thinking it was going to be the campy version of batman.

To me, he’s still my favorite live action Batman. A little work at the gym could have made him more believable as being able to physically be Batman- but he’s got a good build to carry some bulk and tone up- but still not look out of type in his alter ego. He also has “billionaire” look down pretty well for the 80’s, 90’s and even now one of the front runners of American rich guys for real life Batman (or bat villain) would certainly be Elon Musk- and Micheal Keaton is closer to playing Elon or vice versa than any other live action Batman.

Kilmer (at times) got “brooding loner” down. Clooney... his Wayne/Batman played more like “edgy 90’s stand up comedian” as far as “brooding”... he was more like a self loathing cynical Batman that used humor like a defense mechanism. Bale was brooding... and loaner... but it was a bit thick. Worked for him though. A good take on the story- but Keaton was a very human Batman. He seemed believable as a guy with dead parents and a vow to protect people. He had highs and lows etc.

Lol. He did a pretty good job too. I think that by type and portrayal he is up there at the top of the Batman move action movie actors. They didn’t give him a great film to show what he had- or great writing- but he did well with what he had and was a different take than we’ve seen in films before. So I liked Bafleck.
