I mean- by default- if you “have to” do something in exchange for money it isn’t “free” as with money- “free” implies that nothing is exchanged for the money. If you are “making burgers” then you are definitely exchanging something for it. On the other hand- it may also not be a “job” as “job” has multiple meanings- but in this sense it implies a full or part time position- so really if you were ONLY asked to “make burgers for them” and there was no employment contract, and you weren’t asked to do all the many other responsibilities of a fast food worker besides simply “making burgers”- then it might be better called a “gig” as a “gig” is not necessarily regular and lasts a specified time- like until you’ve made enough burgers.
