Brittany had a similar tradition except... it was poor people. Poor people would come to your door and do the singing wit joust, if you lost they got lots of food. It was called Éguinane or Aguilaneuf and I've seen several version of these rhymes, some of which included "but you can't have my meat, it's preserved in feces -it's ok I'll wash it" and "ok riddle me this, what has 12 feet and 4 heads? -A pregnant horse ridden by a pregnant woman."
