That’s right they want to work there. They fell in love with the chocolate Wonka makes and he provides them with a save place to live. Away from all the monsters from their home that would eat them. And honestly I always pictured that one room filled with everything edible as kind of the Oompa Loompa’s special place Wonka built to remind them as a nicer version of their home.
Plus those kids didn’t die. They were saved just some came out different than they came in lol. Plus they all signed a waiver to not sue over any accidents they may occur and what not. God only knows what the small print said would happen if they try to sue.
