I have a question is it more important to be diverse for the sake of diversity or to higher people who truly need and or deserve the job even if it come to the majority of the group to heavily be one race more than others?
And I don’t mean all whites I mean even if it came out majority any race.

Coming from a software development aka programmer background, there's both anecdotal and I believe scientific evidence that shows that having a diverse team produces a better product. (Not that many of the major tech companies are willing to invest in hiring a more diverse workforce though.)
There's also just the fact that minorities are at an overall disadvantage from the get go versus a middle class white person to get a better education and have the economic opportunity to elevate themselves.
Coming from a military background I can tell you anecdotally and scientifically that the best results are accomplished by the more motivated, better trained, and more experienced unit with higher morale, regardless of the racial, ethnic, religious, sexual, or economic background. Oftentimes the better unit in question is more white, brown, black, yellow, red, or an Apache helicopter. But we all wear OCP and bleed red, white, and blue.
