While I agree with you that facts have been under siege of late- and it’s pretty lousy reporting to mix up the Lt. Governor and the Governor- “right” does not refer to a political party- it refers to the conservative or reactionary side of a political group. So democrats can be “right”- conservative Democrats were a major part of the party until the 70’s or 80’s. They are still a part of the party- such as “Blue Dog Democrats” and so called “Dixiecrats” (conservative Democrats in modern politics tend to often be from southern states.) So Wether the Governor is a Democrat or not isn’t really relevant to wether they are right wing- or far right or not as that is independent of party affiliation.
