Lemme speak to the captain

Yeah. I mean- it doesn’t even make sense. You CANT make her wear a vest. If she wants to die what are you going to do about it? It may be a bit hard to stop her from killing herself on a literal ocean of ways to die- and help others who want to live. Her decision to not wear a vest doesn’t effect anyone but her and her loved ones who would lose her- and no law or lawful order of the day mandated life vests on a boat. I don’t know if any laws of the time mandated following instructions from crew in an emergency- that I can’t say, but what are you going to do, arrest her corpse? It’s kind of a saggy comparison even if I get what they are TRYING to say. But people do have the right to be stupid as long as their stupidity doesn’t endanger others.
