Yikes. I genuinely hope she only said that because she ran into far too many entitled idiots who think they're owed a date because they complimented someone, and not because she's a psychopath who thinks a guy who so much as breathes in her general direction is a Creepy Creeperson.

Depends on where/how/when you say. If I was at a store in the middle of the day and a guy goes "Hope Im not bothering you, I just wanted to say you are quite beautiful :)" it's fine, I'd think it was adorable. If it's at night and I'm walking down the street and someone goes "hey there, you are beautiful, aren't ya" its way different
