Sometimes I rewatch old favorites of mine- and being that they have not changed, but I am capable of growth- I often see problematic elements, or Hell.. sometimes the whole premise of thing is problematic. It’s a product of its time. When I was 1 I thought it was hilarious when my Mom would jingle her keys- by the time I was 5 that had stopped being funny, and by the time I was 21 I certainly didn’t laugh like a howler monkey whenever someone jingled a shiny object. So the world changes,

Intelligent people change. Our old favorites don’t. And that’s ok. Enjoy the memories. Go back to a place and time when you first saw it before you, and society, knew better. Enjoy the parts that aren’t problematic and frame the ones that are as a piece of history. It happened. You can’t change that. Enjoy these things in context as appropriate and call it what it is.

In text it is hard to read sarcasm, so forgive me if it is sarcastic, but I will read it as genuine and say thank you.
