I was so upset when people did these. A good bra is easily 50$ and you’re just gonna cut that up when you have a spare 6$ tshirt?

Yes but you can find cheap bras for like 3$ depending on where you live (in my town there's a hard discount shop that sells old ass stocks from rather good brands, I've found bras for 3€, pants for 5...). Plus the fabric of a shirt (especially used) is different, thinner, less dense, which is to be taken into consideration in this case.
