it's never a happy medium. I dont get putting up the tree in the beginning of November, but on the flip side it used to be a tradition to decorate the tree on Christmas eve. Whats the point of that? I like to put the tree up the weekend of Thanksgiving. That may be too soon for some but there is no other feeling like sitting in my home just staring at it for hours, drinking hot chocolate listening to Nat King Cole Christmas music
