I think someone else is caught up in the mix with us... in fact, I think you have some upvotes now.
While I do believe that that volume should drain in three(ish) days, I can't cite specific examples. The only one I "personally witnessed" was the Atlanta flooding from 9/9/09, most of that took longer than 3 days I think though, but the volume of water was waaay higher.
The aerial shot of 6 Flags from that often gets mixed up with abandoned amusement parks compilations... since 9/9/09 was a tuesday and 6 Flags reopened that weekend, maybe that drain and recovery time could be charitably called three days.

And yeah I remember that flooding vividly, my dad was sent down there to help with the relief, that was a crazy amount of rain/flooding down there.

And regarding the post the water levels in the 2nd and 3rd pictures are relatively the same Which is why I have my doubts
