Up until about a year ago I never played monopoly

Monopoly is a great way to lose 4 hours and all your friends

Well I have no friends so I won't be losing any

Buy as many houses as you can, but never upgrade to motels. Causing a housing shortage (no more house tokens for others to use) is a legitimate and very handy strategy to keep other player's rent low and yours high. Helps end the game quicker.
